BHS Earns NEASC Accreditation

The New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) has voted to re-accredit Burlington High School.

Burlington High School has been reaccredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) after a vote by the Committee on Public Secondary Schools, according to a press release.

The accreditation process occurs every 10 years.  A committee of 16 members appointed by the NEASC visited the high school to evaluate over the course of four days this year.

BHS has been reaccredited for a establishing a positive learning environment in which students are aware of what is necessary for their success, as well as a great amount of diversity and accommodations for English Language Learning students and their families, according to the report.

BHS graduation expectations were also cited as a positive addition to the school.

Areas for improvement revolved mainly around the condition of the buildings and handicap accessibility.
