It is that time of the year again: lavish dresses, photoshoots, and booming music enter the dreams of  high school students. With the disappointment of last year’s prom looming over their heads, the BHS admin wowed the student body this weekend by announcing prom this year is indeed on, and will take place in the infamous pit located just adjacent to the dtBHS facility.

The area that will act as the dancefloor for this upcoming prom.

“To me, this is the best solution that could have come out of this,” Beth Fialko, a BHS English teacher who anticipates chaperoning the event, said. “Young love never fails to warm my heart. A couple of loose rocks won’t get in the way of that!”

The perfect spot for students to take a break from the action and enjoy some concessions. Coffee and Gatorade will be provided.

To cut down on the cost of decor, BHS admin decided on an unconventional theme to fit their unconventional space: construction.

The site proposed for the DJ table and speaker set-up. The pit is sure to be rocking!

Students are encouraged to deck themselves out with the most fashionable hard hats and reflective vests they can find. Rumor has it,  the student planning committee will be holding a welding contest hosted by interim-foreman Lauren McBride.

Social distancing guidelines will not stop the slow dances. Admin will be providing mannequins–conveniently provided by Macy’s–free of charge to all ticket-holding couples who attend the event. Additionally, they will happily print a portrait of your significant other and tape it on your dance partner for an additional fee of just $5.
