As of April 8, Chittenden County has 308 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 15 deaths. The pandemic is leaving communities bare. Students are not in school, many adults are working from home, and businesses are closing. Burlington community members are coming together to recognize the people who are being impacted heavily by the virus right now. Below is a look into how the New North End of Burlington is being affected by COVID-19.

Members of the community constructed a large “Thank You” message with space to write to the staff of the Birchwood Terrace nursing home. As of April 7, 22 staff and 24 patients have tested positive for COVID-19.
