Each week the Register will feature a BHS student as “Seahorse of the Week” and ask them a set of questions aimed at revealing their character. This week, we sat down with BHS senior Elizabeth Crawford!

What have you been thinking a lot about lately?

The new variant of Covid-19 and leaving for college. I’m going to Middlebury so it’s not really leaving but it’s a little bit scary. It’s such a good school so I’m going to be working my butt off.

When Covid restrictions lift, what are you doing?

Have a bash with all my friends and give them a hug, and travel literally anywhere.

What person do you most admire?

Michelle Obama, I love her to death. I think she did a really good thing for low-income families by getting good food available in school. She helped a lot of people with that, and a lot of people go hungry and so her making nutrition important was amazing.

Favorite animal/spirit animal?

My favorite animal is a duck. I don’t really know why.

Favorite song right now?

That’s hard. I like a lot of music right now but I think it would be Therefore I Am by Billie Eilish.

What is your idea of perfect happiness?

I think it would rely a lot on the world, because there are a lot of problems everywhere right now. So I think that world peace and equality would make me happy. It doesn’t necessarily revolve around me but when everyone else is happy that makes me happy.

What is your most treasured possession? Tell us about it.

I have this blanket made out of my dad’s old tee shirts that I really love.

Favorite family/friend tradition?

Going to Staten Island and getting Italian food. My family always goes to this place called Pestosas, we didn’t get to go this year, unfortunately.

If you could travel anywhere, where would you go?

I really want to go to Italy. Definitely go to Venice and go in the canals.

What are you excited for?

I’m excited to have a job where I can help people, a dog, and live my happy little life.
