The Burlington School District has publicly posted the Burlington High School principal position, as of April 12. The job description and application details are currently available on the district’s employment opportunities website.
Current Principal Tracy Racicot holds an interim position, after being moved from the technical center by Superintendent Yaw Obeng last spring. Assistant Principal Noel Green, and BTC Director Adam Provost are also interim, yet those positions have not been publicly posted as of today.
The district faced criticism for the lack of public job postings earlier this year.
All district administrators have received non-renewal letters, commonly known as “pink slips,” according Amy Mellencamp, the Burlington Administrators Association (BAA) President. These notices are required by a provision in the BAA contract. This is the first time all administrators have received pink slips in Mellencamp’s 22 years in the district.
