SeaWolves lose Homecoming game to Middlebury

Burlington: Ahmed “Poppy” Diawara, 10 Carries and a 93-yard Touchdown run. Sam Parris, 1 Touchdown

Middlebury: Avery Carl, 138 Rushing yards. Gavin McNulty, 123 rushing yards and 2 Touchdowns. Tassilo Luksch, 54 Rushing yards and 2 Touchdowns. Carter Paquette, Touchdown catch. George Devlin, interception returned for Touchdown

 

The Burlington/South Burlington/Winooski Football team lost a tough game to South Burlington’s Middlebury Tigers this past Saturday (10/14). The final score was 14-42.

“Middlebury is a good team and we battled them hard all night,” Head Coach Chadde Wolf said. “[I’m] proud of our efforts.”

Wolf named Quarterback Ahmed “Poppy” Diawara as the player of the game. Citing his “electrifying” 93-yard touchdown run as one of the main reasons.

The SeaWolves are headed to John Stark Regional High School in Weare, New Hampshire this coming Saturday (10/21) for their first ever out of state game.
