Tracy Racicot has been hired as the permanent Burlington High School principal, according to a letter from Superintendent Yaw Obeng. Herb Perez and Noel Green will remain part of the administrative team.

Obeng met with staff members at the high school Friday afternoon to share the news. He sent the letter to district personnel shortly after.

“This brings tremendous stability as the district begins the implementation phase of its strategic plan and student achievement goals,” Obeng wrote.

He praised the work of administrators at the school, and explained Racicot’s credentials and prior experience.

“Tracy brings a comprehensive array of experiences to lead BHS as a seasoned administrator serving in multiple leadership roles throughout her career,” Obeng wrote.

Racicot, Obeng, Perez and Green were not available for additional comment on Friday afternoon.
